Type of Credit Card: Rewards card
Interest Rates*: The Citibank BP card offers a special introductory interest rate of 2.9% per annum for 12 months for balance transfers. Regular purchases are subject to a 19.89% variable APR, and payments you make towards your account are applied to the lower-interest balance transfer first, until that is paid off.
Annual Fee*: You will be charged an annual fee of $79 for the primary Citibank BP credit card, and an additional $30 annually if you choose to have a second card issued.
Rewards Programme*: With the Citibank BP credit card, you will earn 5% cash back on all petrol and other purchases with BP (for up to a total of $600 in purchases during any statement period). For other purchases you make on your MasterCard (up to $5000 in any statement period), you will earn cash back rewards of .5%. You will not earn the .5% cash back on purchases made with BP competitors. Your cash back rewards will be credited to your account balance on the first day of the following statement period.
Additional Details*: Cash back earnings on your Citibank BP card are limited to a total of $360 from BP purchases and $300 for any other purchases or bill payments each year.
To be eligible for a BP-Citi MasterCard, you must earn a minimum income of $20,000 yearly. Credit limits will be determined by the issuing bank based on your current income and credit history, with the maximum credit limit possible being $25,000.
