October 19, 2009
Are you considering applying for a new Gold Card? Do you need a generous credit limit but want more than that — an incentive for a balance transfer and a rewards programme to let you get more out of your credit card perhaps? If so, the CUA Rewards credit card could be a good option. With a rewards programme, special balance transfer rate, and reasonable annual fee, this credit card is an all-around good bet.
You can learn more about the CUA Rewards credit card below and find out how this MasterCard can help you earn rewards with every dollar you spend. Then you can apply online today through a secure online form if you feel that the CUA Rewards card is right for you.
Type of Credit Card: Rewards card / Balance transfer credit card
Interest Rates*: The interest rate on purchases for the CUA Rewards credit card is 17.99%. As a new cardholder you will also be eligible for a special introductory rate on balance transfers of just 3.9% for your first 12 months. The card also offers up to 55 days interest free on purchases, allowing you to avoid paying interest by paying your bill in full each statement period.
Annual Fee*: Your CUA Rewards card has an $85 annual fee, but you can get up to four additional credit cards at no additional cost.
Rewards / Extras*: You’ll be able to earn one rewards point for every dollar spent using your new CUA Rewards credit card. It’s important to note that you’ll earn rewards points on purchases but not on cash advances, special promotions, or balance transfers. You get to choose how to spend your rewards points rather than being roped into a narrow programme. For example, some of your point redemption options include merchandise, hotel stays, and vouchers for shopping or petrol. Unlike some other rewards credit cards, your CUA Rewards card allows you to accrue rewards points indefinitely. They won’t expire as long as your account is kept open.
In addition to your rewards programme, your CUA rewards credit card also gives you free international travel insurance and free purchase cover.
Additional Details*: Depending on your credit history, you could be approved for a credit limit of up to $25,000 on this gold card, but you’ll need at least a $35,000 annual income to be approved for the credit card.
* Interest rates, annual fees, and rewards programme details were taken from the most accurate data available at the time of writing. All rates are subject to change from the issuing bank, and their inclusion here in no way serves as a guarantee of rates. Please review rates and terms with the card issuer at the time of application.
