You have personal credit cards, but do you have a separate card for your small business? While some entrepreneurs use personal credit cards to finance business purchases, it’s a safer bet to keep those financial records separate. You might also be eligible for a higher credit limit on a business card. If you’re interested in seeing how business credit cards compare, why not start with the CitiBusiness credit card from Citibank?

Learn more about the CitiBusiness credit card below and decide if it’s right for your business.

Type of Credit Card: Business credit card / Balance transfer card / Rewards credit card

Interest Rates*: The normal variable interest rate on purchases with your CitiBusiness credit card is 20.49%. However, you can take advantage of a 2.9% rate on balance transfers for up to nine months. If you don’t pay off your balance transfer within that introductory offer period, the remaining balance will be subject to the cash advance rate of 20.99%. You get up to 55 interest free days when your balance is paid off in full during the previous statement period, which can help you avoid paying interest altogether.

Annual Fee*: The annual account fee for this card is $130. If you want to include additional cardholders (such as for employees authorised to make purchases on your company’s behalf), there is a $30 annual fee for each additional card connected to your CitiBusiness credit card account.

Rewards / Extras*: When you use your CitiBusiness credit card for business-related purchases, you can earn rewards. You’ll earn 1.25 reward points for every dollar spent (not including for cash advances or cash advance equivalents).

As long as your account is kept open, your reward points will not expire. In addition to rewards points, you’ll also be eligible for free international travel insurance, which could be a worthwhile perk if you take a lot of business trips.

Additional Details*: The CitiBusiness credit card is a Visa, meaning it can be accepted worldwide for your business purchases. The card features up to a $60,000 credit limit (although your actual credit limit will be determined when your application and credit history are reviewed). To be eligible for this credit card, you must have a minimum taxable annual income of $35,000.
