The David Jones American Express credit card lets you save on certain big ticket items in-store by offering interest free financing for up to several years if you need them.

Type of Credit Card: Rewards credit card

Interest Rates*: This card features a 19.74% interest rate on purchases. However, you can get up to five years interest free on certain purchases through David Jones, including homewares, furniture, and bedding items costing $500 or more, enabling you to finance large purchases without paying any interest. That interest free offer can be adjusted based on your payment history though, so you’ll want to make each payment on time. You’ll also get up to 56 interest free days each statement period on other purchases.

Annual Fee*: The David Jones American Express credit card has a $99 annual fee. There is normally a $29 supplementary card fee each year for any additional cardholders, but they’ll waive that fee for the first year.

Rewards / Extras*: You can earn gift points when you use your David Jones American Express card. You can redeem those gift points either for David Jones gift cards or for travel rewards. You can get a $100 gift card to David Jones for 13,300 points. If you choose to use your points for travel rewards, you can redeem them at a rate of 15,000 points per $100 in rewards.

You’ll get a whopping 13,500 bonus points just for using your credit card outside of David Jones within your first seven days of receiving your card (that’s enough to get a $100 gift card right away)!

Cardholders can also enjoy in-store benefits from David Jones including their interest free offer mentioned above, a fashion pay later option (spend $500 or more on apparel at David Jones, and you don’t pay anything for three months), complimentary gift wrapping for purchases made in-store on your David Jones American Express card, a Christmas deferred payment option, and invitations to exclusive shopping events at David Jones stores.
