Balance Transfer Card Comparison Chart

March 25, 2010

Previously we’ve given you information on how to compare balance transfer cards and other specific types of credit cards. Today we’re going to try to make that process easier by taking the balance transfer credit card comparison factors we discussed in our past post and putting them into a credit card comparison chart you can print and fill out. This will allow you to evaluate the most important factors of balance transfer cards side by side.

Are you interested in comparing more than just the factors we suggest? If so, we left extra space in the chart for you to add any comparison points you want.

The balance transfer credit card comparison chart below enables you to compare five different balance transfer credit cards at one time. The chart is set up to allow for one credit card per row, and one comparison point per column. You can add any additional comparison factors that you want, such as purchase interest rates, rewards, or anything else you’re hoping to find in your new balance transfer card.

You can print a copy of the .pdf version of this balance transfer credit card comparison chart to compare even more credit cards. That expanded version of the worksheet allows you to compare up to ten balance transfer cards and include up to five additional comparison points of your choosing. You will need Adobe’s Acrobat Reader or another .pdf reader to open and print the file.

When comparing balance transfer credit cards, there are a lot of unique factors to consider because many rely on temporary introductory offers to try to pull in new customers. Being able to look at the different offers side by side should help you narrow down your balance transfer card options without simply getting sucked in by a promotional offer. You’ll be able to look at all of the factors that are important to you before getting into a long-term relationship with a credit card company.
