Whether you’re looking for a great long-term rate on balance transfers or a new platinum rewards programme, the Suncorp Platinum credit card might be just what you want. Forget introductory offers and consider this card with a lifetime balance transfer rate of less than 4%!
Learn more about the Suncorp Platinum credit card below and find out if it’s right for you.
Type of Credit Card: Rewards credit card / Balance transfer card
Interest Rates*: Although the purchase rate and cash advance interest rate on the Suncorp Platinum credit card are both currently set at 19.99%, you can avoid paying interest by taking advantage of up to 55 interest free days when you pay your balance in full each statement period.
This might also be the ideal card for you if you’re interested in a balance transfer. Rather than a typical introductory balance transfer rate, you can enjoy a low 3.9% interest rate on balance transfers for the life of the transfer. Just remember that balance transfers are paid first, so you’ll begin accruing high interest on purchases if you use this card for a balance transfer and regular purchases.
Annual Fee*: The Suncorp Platinum credit card has a $205 annual fee. There is also a $15 annual fee for each additional card you choose to add to your account. There is another additional fee if you choose to join the Suncorp Qantas frequent flyer programme with this credit card (details can be found below).
Rewards / Extras*: The Suncorp Platinum credit card rewards programme lets you earn one reward point for every dollar you spend. You can take advantage of the Suncorp Take Flight programme to earn cash back, travel vouchers, and other travel-related rewards when you make travel purchases.
You can also join the optional Suncorp Qantas frequent flyer programme for an additional $19 annual fee, plus a joining fee. You have to be a member of the frequent flyer programme if you want to be able to earn frequent flyer points when you use your card.
Rewards points earned using your Suncorp Qantas Platinum credit card do not expire as long as your credit card account remains open. You’ll also receive perks such as complimentary international travel insurance, transit accident insurance, purchase cover, and extended warranties.
Additional Details*: To be eligible for a Suncorp Platinum credit card, you must have a minimum annual income of $50,000. Credit limits up to $30,000 are available.
