Type of Credit Card: Balance transfer card, Low interest rate credit card
Interest Rates*: You can get a special balance transfer rate with a new Suncorp Standard Visa card at just 2.9% for a whole year if you transfer a balance from another credit card (not including Citigroup or other Suncorp credit cards). When the balance transfer expires, any remaining unpaid balance from the transfer reverts to the cash advance rate of 17.49%.
The Suncorp Standard Visa features a low regular interest rate on purchases of just 11.74%. Before you get too excited though, it’s important to note that this card has no interest free days. That means you’ll start accruing interest as soon as you make a purchase.
Annual Fee*: The Suncorp Standard Visa credit card has a $39 annual fee for the primary cardholder. There is a separate $15 annual fee for each additional card you add to your account.
Rewards / Extras*: This credit card is a no-frills credit card, and therefore has no rewards programme. However, you do have access to Visa Entertainment which allows you to save money on certain entertainment and travel expenses such as event tickets.
Additional Details*: You have to earn at least $20,000 yearly to be eligible for a Suncorp Standard Visa credit card. Credit limits can range as high as $20,000 depending on your income and credit history.
