Anti-fraud technology, originally introduced and trialled by the Bank of New Zealand for their debit and credit cards over the last two years, is now being extended into Australia by National Australia Bank, its parent company.

According to the company, this new technology, called “liquid encryption numbers” or LEN, has reduced fraudulent transactions arising from skimmed credit cards by 50%. The actual figures were not released during the Auckland press conference. read more..
