Virgin Credit Cards to relaunch in July
June 23, 2010
Virgin intends to roll out two new credit cards for customers this July. It is hoped that these cards will carry with them links to the budget airline, Virgin Blue, by offering reward points for passengers.
Virgin intend to sell their new credit cards vigorously and break into a top spot in the Australian credit card market where the top four banks have had a stranglehold for a number of years.
Richard Branson has teamed up with Citibank to broker this deal and they are providing the funding and infrastructure for the new deal. If they can achieve more than 12% of the market they will have overtaken NAB for the number four place at the top.
