Skywards, the award-winning frequent flyer programme from Emirates, is widely known as the best in its class. It takes its members far beyond the immediate travel experience, rewarding passenger loyalty with privileges, benefits and a wide choice of rewards.

Membership structure

Skywards currently offers three membership tiers – Blue, Silver and Gold – each offering a greater degree of benefits and privileges.

There are no qualifying criteria for entry into the programme and membership is free.  Membership tier status is determined by the number of tier miles earned – with 25,000 being the criteria for Silver and 50,000 for Gold.  Tier miles are earned based on a combination of fare, cabin and zone of travel.  Tier miles cannot be redeemed for rewards and are only earned when flying with Emirates.

Skywards Miles

Skyward Miles, the reward currency, can be earned both in the air and on the ground. Members simply have to take a flight, stay at a hotel, rent a car or use a co-branded credit card (available in select markets) and get closer to a host of rewards.

Skywards Miles on Emirates, are awarded at the same rate as tier miles based on a combination of the type of  fare purchased, the class of travel and the route flown. In addition, Skywards members also earn bonus Miles of 150% of the base miles when they fly Emirates in First Class and 75% in Business Class. Gold members earn an additional 50% tier bonus and Silver members 25% when they travel with Emirates.

The Skywards Miles Accelerator is another unique tool, which gives members an opportunity to boost their mileage balance throughout the year.

Skywards Miles can be redeemed for an amazing range of rewards, including flights and upgrades on Emirates, hotel accommodation, excursions, and exclusive shopping. Members can choose from flights or upgrades to over 100 Emirates destinations worldwide with the freedom and flexibility offered by one-way and return flight rewards. Skysurfers

Skysurfers has been established for children between the ages of two and16 years. Skysurfers receive the same benefits as members of Skywards and they have their own membership card, luggage tags, log book and password-protected web site at skysurfers.com. Applications for Skysurfers memberships have to be signed off by the parent or guardian of the child.
