With the roll out of their new domestic business class underway and news that they are closing the gap on Qantas as Australia’s favourite airline things are looking good for Virgin Australia these days.

According to customer satisfaction market research conducted by Roy Morgan, Virgin closed the gap on Qantas to 2% in November 2011, with over 80% of customers satisfied.

In 2008, Westpac purchased a fourteen-month lease of the Virgin Money brand license and credit card portfolio for $39 million, when their five-year partnership agreement expired.
