1. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn and redeem points. A joining fee applies. Membership and points are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. To be eligible for all or part of the 5,000 points bonus offer you must be a new card applicant who applies for the Qantas American Express Classic Card via this online application form. Points are awarded as follows: 2,500 points will be awarded after the first Card Spend and; 2,500 points will be awarded after the first Card spend in Australia on selected Qantas products and services. Maximum number of points available under this offer is 5,000 points. Please allow 6-8 weeks after you have made an eligible spend for the bonus points to be credited to your account. 3. Selected Qantas products and services are: (a) Qantas passenger flights (with a QF flight number) purchased on the Qantas merchant account i.e. directly with Qantas or some travel agents, (b) purchases from Qantas Travel shops or (c) purchases from Qantas Holidays. Excludes: Qantas Freight, Jetstar and Qantas branded non-airfare products operated by third parties e.g. Qantas Box Office. Subject to Points Terms and Conditions available here.
4. As long as your account remains current and in good standing.
5. The Credit Card gives you up to 44 days interest free on purchases, depending on when you make a purchase, when your statement is issued and whether or not you are carrying forward a balance on your account from the previous statement period.
6. If your Credit Card is lost or stolen, you must report it immediately. You can call American Express 24 hours a day. In Australia, call us on 1300 363 687. If you are overseas, report your lost or stolen Card to the nearest American Express Travel Service or Representative Office.
7. Interest rates are current as at 22 January 2009 and subject to changes under our Interest Rate Policy. Our interest rate policy describes how we intend to adjust Credit Card interest rates based on your payment history. Under this policy we intend to maintain this special low rate for the promotional period if you make your minimum payments on time.
