1. his rate is only available to customers who are applying for an applicable Westpac card and wish to transfer the balance(s) from a non-Westpac or non-Virgin credit card(s), charge card(s) or store card(s). Each balance transfer must be a minimum amount of $200. This promotion is only available at point of application, and where your card application is received by 30 April 2008. Subsequent balance transfers will be charged the standard product interest rate. Please note that payments made to the credit card are first applied to amounts transferred from other credit cards, charge cards or store cards under this offer, before they are applied to any other cash advance or purchase amount. This will mean that the portion of your outstanding account balance that is subject to a lower interest rate will be paid off first and that you will not gain the benefit of any interest-free period on purchases until the full balance (including any balance transfer or any other promotional amount) is paid by the due date each month. After 5 months the balance rate will switch to your credit card's standard interest rate for cash advances.
2. If you obtain a credit card as part of a Westpac package or switch from an existing Westpac card, you are not eligible for the bonus points described. Promotion not available in conjunction with any other promotion. The bonus Altitude points will be added to your account within 8 weeks of when you first use your card. Altitude points not earned on cash advances. You must have earned a minimum of 2,000 points before you can redeem for any rewards. The earning and redemption of Altitude points (including available rewards and expiry of points) is subject to the Altitude Terms and Conditions. You do not receive points if your card account is in arrears for 2 consecutive statement cycles.
